After undergoing ICSI, the fertilization process is typically evaluated around 17-20 hours later, and it's common to observe an average fertilization rate of about 80%. However, it's important to note that this rate can vary depending on individual infertility factors. Even with the use of the ICSI method, it's been found that around 2% of seemingly normal sperm and eggs do not successfully fertilize. 

Once fertilization has taken place, the resulting embryos are then assessed for quality by a specialized embryologist. Depending on their stage of development and overall grade, these embryos may be transferred to the uterus after 2, 3, or 5 days.
