Dr. Monika Chawla has been the Medical Director at HealthPlus Fertility Center Abu Dhabi since June 2024. She is also a Consultant in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at HealthPlus Fertility and Women’s Center in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Chawla earned her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1998, focusing her thesis on "Sonohysterography and Hysteroscopy for Uterine Cavity Evaluation in Infertility." In 2004, she was granted Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), followed by a Fellowship of the Royal College (UK) in 2016 at Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital, London. She also holds a Master’s in Human Embryology from IVI, Valencia, Spain, and a postgraduate award in Reproductive Medicine from Warwick University, UK, where she completed her thesis on "Challenges of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome."
Dr. Chawla specializes in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, with a focus on advanced fertility treatments and reproductive medicine. Her extensive experience is highlighted by her 30 peer-reviewed publications in obstetrics, gynaecology, and fertility. She is also the author of the textbook "The Art of ART" and serves on the editorial board of the Global Reproductive Health journal. Dr. Chawla is renowned for her pioneering work in health and fertility awareness in the MENA region, providing invaluable assistance to couples dealing with rare morbid diseases through IVF and preimplantation genetic testing.
In March 2018, Dr. Chawla was honored with the "Distinguished Physician Award in the UAE" by the Dubai Health Authority, the most prestigious healthcare recognition in the region, celebrating her outstanding contributions to medicine. Her dedication to advancing reproductive medicine is further demonstrated by her esteemed positions and numerous academic contributions, including her role in health and fertility awareness campaigns in the MENA region.
