HealthPlus to open 20 new Health Centers in Abu Dhabi

Network of premium outpatient facilities to be introduced in UAE capital
Abu Dhabi, UAE: UEMedical has announced its plans to establish a network of premium outpatient health centres in Abu Dhabi under the name of HealthPlus. Each centre within the HealthPlus network will support the multiple missions of UEMedical, including outstanding patient care and extensive community outreach. HealthPlus aims to provide state-of-the-art outpatient medical services at 20 locations throughout the UAE capital, which will form part of an integrated healthcare delivery system set to include UEMedical’s flagship project, Danat Al Emarat Women and Children’s Hospital.
“The rising demand for healthcare services in Abu Dhabi has put an immense strain on existing healthcare providers and working under such conditions makes it difficult to deliver good quality patient care. With HealthPlus, we will address the current gaps in the healthcare sector and differentiate ourselves on the basis of medical excellence, patient-centredness and unparalleled levels of customer service. At the same time, focus will be placed on raising the standard of patient care and safety, and enhancing overall patient experiences,” stated Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, MD & CEO of UEMedical.
The network will be comprised of ‘Centres of Excellence’ in a variety of specialties including Women’s Health, Fertility & Genetics (IVF), Day Surgery, Orthopedics & Rehabilitation and Dental Health. The HealthPlus network of centres will encompass various clinical affiliations with worldwide healthcare organizations to ensure adoption of international standards and best practices and drive continuous development of clinical programs. The centres will all be electronically linked through a health information management system with electronic medical records, ensuring that patient information is available instantly at any location and allowing doctors to make faster, more informed decisions resulting in better quality of care.
Family Health Centres will also be introduced to the HealthPlus network. Conveniently located to ensure that world-class patient care is kept close to where people live and work, the Family Clinics will provide comprehensive primary medical and dental care, and help to strengthen physician-patient relationships. The centres will be heavily involved in promoting community health awareness and education, and in supporting national screening programs in line with the initiatives of the Health Authority-Abu Dhabi of improving public health.
