Dr. Walid Sayed started his career in the fertility field in Germany from 1995 until 2006. He worked as a Specialist in Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine in three IVF centers in Germany.

In 2006, he moved to UAE and hold a Consultant position in the Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine in Tawam Hospital, Al Ain.

In 2009, he moved to Abu Dhabi and founded HealthPlus Women’s Center and in 2011 he launched the HealthPlus Fertility Center. Since then he hold the position of Group Medical Director of HealthPlus Abu Dhabi and Dubai. During his journey, he held multiple presentations and attended multiple conferences all over the world.

Medical Director, Consultant, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility (IVF)
Dr. Wael Ismail Madkour is the Medical Director, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Fertility & Reproductive Endocrinology (IVF) Consultant at HealthPlus Fertility Center – Dubai. Dr. Wael has more than 28 years of experience in many leading healthcare organizations in Egypt, UK and UAE. Before joining HealthPlus Fertility Center, Dr. Wael was the Assistant Director for Medical Affairs and Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Medicine Consultant in one of the leading fertility centers in UAE, part of Dubai health Authority in Dubai.
Dr. Wael specializes in Assisted Reproductive Techniques and is interested in the sub-specialty of Gynecological Endoscopy. He is also a Professor in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Ain Shams University, Egypt. He earned his post graduate training in Egypt where he obtained his MD degree & then moved to the UK to continue his post graduate training in the General field of Obstetrics & Gynecology where he worked for many leading teaching hospitals in the NHS Trusts. After obtaining his Royal college membership in 2000, he got a fellowship training in ART/ IVF in the Assisted conception unit – Royal infirmary of Edinburgh- UK. While working for Dubai Health Authority, besides his clinical duties, he was part of the regulatory authority, as he led the team responsible for licensing in IVF through DHA as well as HAAD & MOH. Also this team was responsible for licensing & inspecting IVF units in Dubai and other Northern Emirates.

Dr. Wael earned his MBBCh with honors from Ain Shams University, Egypt, 1990. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, UK. Dr. Wael is a member in the British Fertility Society, European Society for Human Reproduction & Embryology, Edinburgh Obstetric Society, Emirates Obstetrics & Gynecology Society. Lately, he obtained his Professorship degree in Obstetrics & Gynecology from the board of the Higher Council of Egyptian Universities, Egypt, 2016.

Professor Ahmed Elbohoty is our Fertility & Reproductive Medicine (IVF) and Gynaecology Consultant at HealthPlus Fertility Center in Dubai. He has more than 20 years of experience where he worked in the leading fertility centers in Egypt and UAE. He is a professor in the faculty of medicine with a special interest in infertility management, preimplantation genetic testing, PCOs, recurrent implantation failure, poor responders and minimal invasive endoscopic surgeries including advanced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgeries. Prof. Elbohoty graduated from Ain Shams University- Egypt (MBBCh) with Honours in 2001, where he then obtained MSc & MD in Reproductive Medicine in 2006 and 2009 respectively, and he is a Gynaecology professor in the same university. He was admitted as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists in London in 2013. He obtained the Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon Certificate from European Gynaecologic Academy of Endoscopic Surgery in 2016 in Belgium. He was certified as a European Fellow of reproductive medicine since 2022. He was also certified by ESHRE as an endoscopic reproductive surgeon. Dr. Elbohoty is the author of more than 20 peer-reviewed papers published in international medical journals in the field of Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Monika Chawla acquired her MD in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 1998 and was awarded the Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (MRCOG) in 2004 followed by Fellowship of the Royal College (UK) in 2016. She was awarded the Fellowship in Reproductive medicine at the Guy’s and St. Thomas Hospital in London which is also the pioneer center for Pre-Implantation Diagnosis (PGD) in the UK. She attained her Masters in Human embryology from IVI, Valencia, Spain . She also received her postgraduate award in Reproductive medicine from the Warwick University, UK after completion of her thesis on Ovarian Hyperstimulation syndrome. In March 2018, the “Distinguished physician award in the UAE” was conferred upon her by H.E. Humaid Al Qatmi, Chairman , Dubai Health Authority . This is the biggest and most prestigious healthcare honor in the region celebrating outstanding contributions in the field of medicine . She believes in holistic infertility care and provide a whole range of assisted reproductive techniques along with minimal access treatment ( laparoscopy , hysteroscopy).

She has pioneered the evolving health and fertility awareness and disease management trends in the MENA region for a substantial time period. She has contributed to the birth many healthy babies in couples with rare morbid diseases due to consanguineous marriages . She was instrumental in the birth of the first BRCA gene free baby in the UAE through preimplantation genetic testing . Dr Monikaa , apart from being skilled in all assisted reproductive techniques , has special expertise in cases such as recurrent IVF failures, repeated miscarriages, chromosomal disorders, endometriosis, polycystic ovaries and poor endometrium .

She has achieved success in these challenging cases and believes that the right knowledge and persistence pays in such cases . She has to her credit being the editor of the full text book of in vitro fertilizations called “The Art and Science of Reproductive Medicine “, published in 2017. It’s a widely read book and quoted in references worldwide . She has the privilege to be on the editorial board of the Global Reproductive health , the official journal of the International Federation of fertility Societies . She has been the course director and the faculty of the “Postgraduate course in reproductive medicine “, an academic program since 2016 which is the first of its kind in the UAE in affiliation with the Schelswig Holstein University, Germany . Her research work has been published in many international and National journals and presented papers on controversial subjects in reproductive medicine at the ASRM and ESHRE conferences .

Her recent full research paper on “ morphokinetic analysis of embryos and preimplantation genetic diagnosis “ was published in Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics in 2016 . She is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the British Fertility Society and the American Association of Gynecology Laparoscopists.

Her current mission is to inform and educate couples to make their own decisions and to provide unbiased fertility options and treatments. She has been active through personal communications and social media in spreading awareness in the Gulf regarding the preimplantation genetic diagnosis for single gene disorders and carrier screening. She has contributed to the birth of many healthy babies in couples with rare morbid diseases due to consanguineous marriages. Dr. Ahmad Allam is a Urology Specialist at HealthPlus Fertility Center. His special interest lays in endoscopic urologic procedures, male infertility, male sexual dysfunction, sexual medicine, voiding disorders and urodynamic studies, ultrasonography of the lower tract and male genitalia. Dr. Allam has more than 30 years’ experience in urology. He had worked in several esteemed facilities in Egypt, KSA and UAE as Urology and Andrology Specialist and Medical Director. Currently, he divides his time between Ibn Al Nafees Medical Center and HealthPlus Fertility Center. He received his Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery and his master degree from Ain Shams University, Egypt. He is a Fellow of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine.

Dr. Amani Kanan is our Obstetrics, Gynecology and Fertility Specialist at HealthPlus Fertility Center in Al Ain. Dr. Amani has more than 14 years of experience in many reputable medical organizations in UAE and Jordan. She specializes in women infertility, labor and delivery and aesthetic medicine. Dr. Amani earned her medical degree from Peoples Friendship University, Russia. She is a member in Jordanian Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 

Dr. Eshrak Al Attar is an Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialist at HealthPlus Women’s Health Center. She has more than 30 years of experience in obstetrics & gynecology in many reputable hospitals in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Her scope of services includes; high risk pregnancies, performing caesarean sections, educating expecting mothers about reproductive health and following up on acute emergencies like ectopic pregnancy. Dr Eshrak also performs the most Aesthetic and reconstructive gynecological surgery, labioplasty, vaginoplasty, perineoplasty, nonsurgical intimate & reconstructive surgery, vaginal hyaluronic acid (fillers) & Intimate Rejuvenation.

Dr. Nayrouz has more than 9 years of experience in many leading medical organizations in UAE and Egypt. She specializes in management of high risk pregnancies, pre-pregnancy counseling, management of postpartum issues, neonatal resuscitation, newborn care, Infertility & more. Dr. Nayrouz earned her medical degree from Ain Shams University, Egypt in 2007 and also earned a Master’s degree in Obstetrics & Gynecology from Al Ain Shams University, Egypt in 2014 and is a Member of Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists.

Dr. Sumi Thomas, Reproductive Medicicne and Infertility Specialist at Healthplus Fertility Center Abu Dhabi has more than 10 years of experience in many leading medical organizations in UAE and India. She has special interest in ovulation induction, Assisted reproductive techniques, Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy, Fertility preservation, early pregnancy care and more.
Dr Sumi earned her medical degree from Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education & Research in 2001,India and has Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Kasturba Medical College in 2007, and DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from National Board of Examinations In 2010,India.She has completed Post –Doctoral fellowship in Reproductive Medicine from Christian Medical College in 2014,India.She has publications in National and International Journals.
